Privacy policy

1. Who we are

Evili Inc. makes the Evili app for iPhone. We’re based in Ontario, Canada, and handle personal information under Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). This policy covers the app only. Privacy questions go to evilisupport@gmail.com.

2. What we collect

Your photos and files: we don’t collect them. The app opens only the photos and files you choose, and everything you edit or add to the vault stays on your iPhone. Nothing is uploaded to us.
Ads in the free version: Google AdMob may collect device identifiers (including Apple’s advertising identifier, only if you allow tracking), IP address, approximate location and how you interact with ads.
Evili Pro: purchases are handled by Apple. We receive confirmation that you bought Pro, not your payment details.
Support: if you email us, your email address and whatever you include in the message.
Diagnostics: we don’t add our own analytics or tracking tools. If you choose to share analytics with app developers in your iPhone settings, Apple may share anonymous crash reports and usage statistics with us.

3. How we use it

To run and support the app, unlock Evili Pro, show ads in the free version, reply to support requests and meet legal obligations. We don’t sell your personal information.

4. Third parties

Google (AdMob) provides ads in the free version, and Apple handles app distribution and Evili Pro purchases. Each handles data under its own privacy policy, and some store data outside Canada, including in the United States.

5. Your photos

Photos and vault files are stored only on your iPhone and are never uploaded to our servers. Vault files are encrypted, and you can choose to lock the vault with Face ID. We have no access to your photos or vault files. If you delete the app, the vault and everything in it are deleted with it, and we can’t recover them.

6. Children

The app isn’t directed to children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their personal information.

7. How long we keep it

We keep support emails only as long as we need them to help you, and no longer than 24 months. We never hold your photos or vault files; they stay on your iPhone until you delete them or the app.

8. Your choices and rights

You can ask to access, correct or delete your personal information, or withdraw your consent, by emailing evilisupport@gmail.com. You can stop ad tracking on your iPhone in Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking, and Evili Pro removes ads altogether.

9. Changes

We’ll post any updates on this page and change the effective date. We’ll announce significant changes in the app.
